Default Remanufactured fuel injectors---GB Remanufacturing? for '80 to '84s

Hi All

Bumped into this listing on ebay today.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/80-84-PORSCHE...ht_2009wt_1042

Had a quick search here to see if anyone has experience with these, didnt find anything.

There are no specs given in the ad, and the price seems decent enough which makes me suspicious, so i thought i see if you guys have any opinions on these, before i make some enquiries.

All opinions appreciated.

Cheers,

Do a search on rebuilding/remanufacturing injectors. They can only be cleanned and never rebuilt.

$40 each to clean them? That seems expensive.

The sale includes the injector -and- the cleaning. No old injector exchange needed.

I need to build an injector cleaning station.

Isn't that the same as buying new ones?

Well, I just bought driver side window switches for my 04 Touareg. On ebay they were 125$. At the dealer... 70$

So... caveat emptor....

Same as buying used ones that have been cleaned and flow-verified. Same as new except you get the added bonus of 'wear'.

If there's good news, the injectors are continuously cooled and lubricated in normal use. Varnish and coking are the real dangers, along with physical damage during R&R. Coking comes off with the ultrasonic, varnish with solvent like mineral spirits.

It's about the same as what I paid a few years ago for the new S4 injectors on sale from Blue Oval. But they no longer list those. Don't know what "new" options there are for the '82 cars.

Thanks for your input fellas.
So this might be a decent option if one wanted to "replace" rather than have the originals "refurbed".
Just was curious to see if anyone here had used this company before...they're in California, so that makes them close to a large 928 community.
Maybe i'll contact them and get some more info, and share it here if anyone else is interested.

Cheers,
