Thanks for starting this thread, Hans. The offerings are so many and so boggling for those of us who don't have a lot of experience as to what to look for in this particular technical area or a lot of time to devote to the search, so it is really nice to have a few known options as a starting point in the search.

I ALWAYS liked the Nak gear! Remember the Dragon? Isn't that what one of the top of the line home Audio components from Nak was called??? Or did I just dream that up. Anyway, when I got my Toronto 420BT I seriously considered some of the Nak stuff...just looks SO GOOD to me!

One of the things I really like about the 420BT is that it STREAMS music from my iPhone 5! I don't even have to plug the damn thing in! But I can do that if I choose to!!! Really cool!

JVC arsenal is the best bang for buck in my opinion. I put them in both of mine. Bluetooth and front iphone/ipod hookup with usb. For under 230.00

Didn't dream it up..the Nakamichi dragon was a classic. I couldn't afford it back in the day but still have my Nakamichi BX-125 tape deck ....one of these days I'll hook it back up LOL..

BTW..I still love the original Blaupunkt Toronto in my GT..it just fits the 928...but when it fails...I might go for that new Toronto.. looks pretty good and has some nice features.

I'm going to do either a Nakamichi CD400 or CD500, they seem to be the highest-quality units that look right in a 928 and the only thing I ever listen to is the radio ...

I'll wait for the double-DIN new console solution to start picking up newer features & capabilities.

Yeah - this thread has me thinking hard. I was on the verge of buying the DEH-X8500DAB.

The DEH-80PRS does look nice, and I like the active crossover - being able to set a mid low-pass filter at 1500Hz for the 6.5" woofers saves making up some LPF's and finding a home for them.

The question in my mind is.. do I need DAB+ digital radio? Or can I live with streaming radio from my phone over the internet?

I have the JVC KD-SHX900. It's one of the very rare single din decks with Surround Sound processing! $700 new but now you can find them on eBay sometimes for $150.

This works fine with CDR-22 and very obviously with your CDR-210 as well.

I think the CDR 210 looks like it belongs there.
