Will anyone have this or something similar at Sharktoberfest this coming weekend in Anaheim? Would be great to see it in person.

Is the metal frame intended to be covered in leather or vinyl?

There is 2 versions for different console trims - 1 for leather covered console, and 1 for vinyl covered console. The metal frame can be covered with leather/vinyl or 3M Di-Noc or similar film.

Hi Allan,

Great job, I gather you've put a lot of work into this. I saw Jake's console at Sharktoberfest, and really liked it.

Could I get a version (custom even) that still uses the stock air vents and the lever (your new extended version) that is to the immediate right?

Although I imagine the round vents are most likely a great improvement over stock, I would rather not have the chrome rings, and prefer the stock look.

Respectfully,

Rich

Hi Rich,
I do have the design for the original style vent, but still have not solved the little lever that activates the switch when used with the original vent. Will give that some thought next.

The factory lever has a cam shaped end that actuates the microswitch in a "rolling on top" motion. My new lever for the round louvers has a "swiping from the side" motion to activate the switch.

On mine, it only activates the microswitch.
