Need a shift **** replacement for '91 S4
Other than buying a used OEM automatic shift **** are there any aftermarket options that look like the original? I can get one that doesn't have the original look but would like to keep the stock appearance

My understanding is that the auto shifter are the same for all later years.
There are some after market ones that loll like a manual gear shift with the push button **** on top.

You could contact Rob Budd at classic9leathershop.com - he might be able to repair your existing shifter, or re-cover a used one for you with the matching leather.

Bilal, any brick and mortar or web store in particular that has the shift ***** you are referring to?
Nicole, my problem is the bottom of the shift **** is broken, the leather is in fine. I'll contact Rob anyway.

Try these places:
http://www.jageng.com/garage9/index.php?cPath=50_60
Used ones can be gotten from 928 International

DC Automotive

There are more, like 928 specialist or Roger at 928Rus. They sometimes have used parts also.

That's exactly the case with mine too. I've ordered the "button on top" shift **** from Jager Engineering as a replacement. If I decide I don't like it, I might try to fix the original by gluing in a plastic cylinder to reinforce the area where the screws are, something that would hopefully be hidden.

Most any of the one's that Nicole sells from Jager Engineering.
I have the brushed aluminum with matching shift plate.
Totally updates the look of the console.

To clarify my earlier post: Since you said you are looking for an original type T-Handle, you can see, if Rob can repair it, or you can ask 928 International for a used one and have Rob recover it.
I can only offer aftermarket shifter ***** and boots for the 928, with the automatic actuator button at the top.
