Do the fuel pumps on K-Jet cars taks significantly more current than the L-Jet & LH-Jet lower pressure pumps?

Can you check the panel ID by the top mounting bolts..?
I'd expect it is a 928.610.105.07.

Did the owners manual come new with the car or is it possible it was purchased later as a replacement? Could then be the wrong type.

Snowing pretty good today so i will check tomorrow if no snow.
The owner manual is 100% came with the car.

My 83 Euro has its original owner's manual, and shows fuses consistent with 1982 ROW models - 22=fuel pump, not 13. The only other difference is the rating of 2 of the fuses - fuel pump at 16A, not 25A. I once measured the current draw of the pump, when looking for a problem - 6A.

My 84 is also confused. It used both 13 and 22. I got stranded shortly after I got the car with a no start condition. No power to the fuel pump, manual indicated fuse 13 it was good. Did not know to also check 22. Ended up hot wiring the fuel pump to get home.
Pulled the CE panel when I got home, one fuse protects supply to the relay, the other relay to the pump. It is original factory wiring, nothing was molested

Default My 1984 with FUSE 13

[QUOTE=david_alford;10007663]My 1983 S #602 has a 1982 spec CE panel. I say this because I found the fuel pump fuse to be in position 22 as indicated for 1982 versus position 13 for MY 83-84 according to 928 Specialists diagrams.

My 83 owners manual agrees with the 928 Specialists 1982 diagram.

I guess Porsche was using up previous MY parts or something when my car was produced in 11/1982? Anyone else run into stuff like this?

Also, my owners manual lists #19 headlight motor fuse as 16a, but 928 Specialists has it as 25a for 82 and 83-84. Should I go with the 25a fuse even though my owners manual says 16?

Thanks very much in advance, any info is greatly appreciated![/QUOT
HI...MY 1984 HAD A SIMILAR ISSUE...MY #22 FUSE WAS DEAD-ENDED, AND I NOTICED #13 WAS IN PLACE. BUT MY BOOK SAID "NOT CONNECTED", WELL, I REMOVED IT AND IT WOULD NOT START THE FUEL PUMP. SO ONCE REINSTALLED, ALL GOOD. I DID CHASE AND INSPECT LOTS OF WIRES THO LOL...ANYHOW, YES I FIRMLY THINK PORSCHE PUT OLDER/NEWER OWNERS MANUALS WITH INCORRECT FUSE LOCATIONS IN SOME MODEL YEARS. HOPE THIS HELPED! THX, DON
