Default You guys are awesome

Just a note to thank all of the guys who have helped an old coot to maintain his shark. There are so many of you that it is hard to name to many but I especially wanted to mention Mrmerlin, drBob, Wally Plumley and Craig of Maineporsche

Many many people have helped me with info and guidance over the years. For my 928, that started pre-purchase with help from Usenet folks who steered me to what was going to be needed before I drove the car anywhere at all. Three net platforms and 15 years later, the support network has only improved. Makes it almost practical to own the car.

That's my next task. Just got done with windshield washers and #$%^&&* window motor switches. When you are 77 years old, it is tough crawing under the dash.

I think it was Wally who described an aid/prosthetic for that problem. IIRC, it involved a wide plank suspended from a 5gal. bucket on one end and the door sill on the other. Sit on the plank and lean back onto it with your head in the cockpit.

I haven't tried it yet but it sounds plausible. (if I can find a plank that will support my weight ;-)

I've also been known to pull the seat, cushion the floor and prop my feet in the back seat. Getting in and out is awkward, make sure you've got your tools reachable or a helper.

Hey thanks Fogey. I've got to get under it again so I'll try your idea.

Hey Barney, that does sound like a decent idea. Maybe a little Velcro to keep things from shifting to much.
