So if I lose 100 lbs on the front and add 80 lbs to the rear, what weight distribution would I be at on an early 928?

I'm assuming, of course, that the stock gas tank still fits in the stock location?

Stock gas tank fits, stock exhaust fits. Got some great wilwood adapters from XS Chop. 330's front, S4 rears. Check out the pics.
Thanks,
Dinsdale

If you can produce a kit, you'll have us 928ers beating a path to your door.

The engine clutch mount is commonly referred to as a bell housing. We constructed a custom bellhousing from a duct tape and JB weld composite. Dipped in tequila and baked at 325 for 3 hrs!!! Naaaaaa I'm lyin. We cut the stock bellhousing and welded on an adapter plate to fit the vette tube.

I kinda doubt that any of the GM autos will fit. But, generally you just need a transmission controller. Kinda like this;

I'd much rather have the manual like these guys have fitted though. But just the fact that we're discussing this is awesome. The options are HUGE!

I could see the appeal of the 6 speed auto too. From the little bit I have read about the manual conversions the main chore is getting all the clutch and pedal stuff in the car.

The 6L80 is pretty big, maybe the 4L80 would work though.
