Rounding errors introduced to the WSM perhaps?

The Bosch ratings can all be found in this document:

Of interest are the K-jet pumps from the Euro S cars.. circa 175l/hr at 500kPa. Maybe a decent compromise between the 044, and a stock later pump?

Notice what it says under "Installation notes".

Greg, how mucho are dey pump kits?
Roger can get you a pump and then you don't have to pay for the shipping.

The "hose kit" consists of the stock hose that you need to cut to fit onto the uber custom fitting that I came up with that the hose fits very nice on. Then there's a metric adaptor that screws into the pump. Of course, there's the clamps and the crush washer enclosed.

The kit for a non in-tank car is $75.00 and the one for the in tank pump model is about $10.00 more....the difference being the cost difference in the "stock" hose, from Porsche.

Wish it could be less, but that one custom 90 degree fitting is over $40.00. It's made for "teflon" hose and it is absolutely the perfect size for the stock hose to fit onto.....without stretching it so much it "splits". I tried cheaper 90's, but they all seemed to allow leaks at the hose, after a few months. This fitting is 12.5mm, which works really well with the 12mm hose and has ridges for the hose to grab onto without damaging it.

It works very, very well and I've had no problems with leaks, that I experienced with other methods.

Before or AFTER injector halving?

That 88% may only be 44%.

I see them at that price but nobody ever has one.
I have experianced a larger than normal failure rate with the Bosch 044 pumps.
Roger
The 044 pumps need a lot of current capacity to work properly.. If you don't feed them through a power relay and try to run them through the stock wiring, they don't get enough current. Not only does the stock wiring get too hot, but the pumps burn out quickly.

That's a hell of a lot better than what I have seen published on normal pumps.

I'll take the kit now and get the pump from Rog later. You still good with paypal and how much on the shipping?

Or I could just call you when the shop opens.

Thanks.

I know that Bosch wants distributors to have an actual building dedicated to Bosch, no houses, no shared businesses in the same building.
Well, I recently bought one from there and installed it. I also have a fake one and could compare side by side, and it seems this new one is the real deal based on the descriptions I have found of the fake ones.

You might be able to get away with running the stock relay for a while, but you are never going to get it into the car without a hose conversion kit.

Still can get it out, today, for next day air.

This tank outlet that you supply, what is it made of? If aluminum, is it annodized? This is important for those of us looking to run E85.

Please elaborate on your relay kit. What does it consist of and what is the price?

Thanks

Only 500 hours! Is that for warranty or expected lifecycle?

Yes, anodized alluminum pieces. Since I'm a "stocking" Goodridge dealer, I have access to fittings that the "normal" people don't have. Took me 3-4 tries before I found a fitting that worked perfectly, down there. I tried outer "methods" but none were completely satisfactory. As I said, that one custom fitting to fit on the metric hose is $40 (jobber price) and that fitting, plus the price of the stock hose, "controls" the price of this kit.

Please elaborate on your relay kit. What does it consist of and what is the price?

Relay Kit is just a power relay, fuse, and appropriate wire, connectors. Also instructions on how to do it and how to wire it. The 044 pumps consume so much power that we had to find pieces that would "stand up" to the constant "load". 20 continuous amps is a lot of juice! That's about 1/3 of what most of our alternators will put out (and you need to think about that, also.) For instance, last year on the Sharktoberfest "cruise", Rob Edwards had a slightly "inferior" fuse holder (that he sourced) melt and bring his day to an end.

Wiring Kit is $60.....and isn't "rocket science"...just pieces that I've gathered that are high quality and ideas on how I do it.

Thanks
Hope that helps. Didn't want to turn this thread into "sales" thread, but you guys asked.

Ok Sean..I checked my logs..and that is likely what you are hitting.

RPM MAF signal A/F ratio Inj duty cycle [%]
5880 308 11.03 91
5919 280 11.01 91
5910 319 10.97 96
5931 321 10.96 96
5978 327 10.92 96
6119 306 10.9 97
6162 331 10.9 101
6012 394 10.9 191
...

I can see where my halving comes in, and yup, saturatin'.

Ive since this run, worked more on my WOT maps, not that rich anymore.

Here's a pic of the general idea of the FP relay wiring harness, though Greg's is assembled better than mine shown here and uses a proper mountable relay socket. You can see the ChiCom fuse holder just inside the battery compartment that ended my Fun Run last year.

Here's a link to pics of my installation (see post #52):
