euro S cams
I listed my extra cams on ebay. Maybe someone needs them. Maybe not.

What are the camshaft #'s stamped on the cams ends?
Also as per the rules you must post the BIN price. But given the listing has a NIB of $600 I would imagine that stands up here too. |

All camshafts have the numbers stamped on the end of them.
The numbers you list are the casting numbers. There is no guarantee that these are the 300 S versions without the stamped numbers. |

The numbers you list are the casting numbers. There is no guarantee that these are the 300 S versions without the stamped numbers. The US "S" set has the number stamped on the end. You can clearly see the difference in the lobe sizes from the US non-"S" version 219 hp cams. I will post photos of both of my euro S sets and the US "S" set so you can see the difference. I'll get the photos and post them. Check back later. |

Here is the number on one of my 310 hp US "S" cams. These are not for sale.

The first photo is of a euro "S" cam from my 4.7 M28/11. This cam has a broken dizzy gear stub and destroyed two engines before I found the issue. This was an untouched stock original engine. It has no numbers stamped on it. Only a very light triangle. So light that the photo doesn't show it as complete.
The second photo is of the end of one of the cams I am selling. You can clearly see the triangle. I purchased the set I am selling from a rennlister. You can clearly see the difference in lift and duration from the US cams and the "S" cams. So here's proof that not all cams have numbers stamped on them. Two cams from two different euro "S" engines with no numbers. |
FYI, there was no 310hp US "S" cam. There was a 310hp Euro S cam.
|
All US "S" 16 valve cars had the ~220 HP Engine...

He knows that.

Oops, sorry about the price thing. These are early euro S 300 hp cams. No stamped numbers like the later US 310 hp "S" version. They have a triangle stamped on the end not a number. The part numbers are listed in my ad but they are as follows.
928.105.187.OR and 928.105.188.OR

Interesting....so only the Euro S LH 211-212 cams have the rear stamping?
I looked at the cams in my racer & they didn't have anything on them.....I didn't even see the little triangle, but I wasn't looking for it either.... |

What is missing is an excel sheet showing the lift values, the engine numbers and the camshaft part numbers. Hacker posted part of it 6 or 7 years ago. Time for the rest. |
