Our cam gears have been in service now since I introduced them, with no failures.

As you will remember, we offered a discount to any 928 owners who wanted to be involved in the street testing of them. Those that did not want to purchase until they had run them for a while simply waited.

Since that time, we have raced the sprockets for an entire season including on our 930 HP engine, at road race circuits and at Bonneville Salt Flats repeatedly. There have been no issues, and they hold their tension better than the stock ones do.

In street driving, here is an email from one of those who accepted the discount to help us test them:
I now have a couple of thou km on the car with several high RPM passes. I will be taking a cover off (or perhaps both) and grabbing some pictures (gears and underside of the belt)

I will let you know what I find. Personally, I have had no issues with these gears and think they are great. I would have no issues installing another set in the 86.5 as well. Excellent product - but my pictures and posting will tell the story to the others.

Regards,

Glenn
I am sure they will perform well for you, Ian. I haven't had one complaint or issue from anyone who has been testing them. And as I said, we noted that they seem to hold their tension better, longer than the stock sprockets. I suggest that this may be due to our Hardcoat being tougher than the factory surface finish. Coating technology has marched forward since they were first introduced...

As you know, we run ours ion the race engine without the belt covers on them, and the salt and dust at the race tracks is very abrasive. The fitment between belt and sprocket is perfect. No problems.
