My Euro 3 speed is 2.75 final drive, so I dont see 2.538 helping? Are the US 3 speeds a lower number ?
But its a terrific find for the 4 speed guys who want out of the 2.2 diffs.

So tempting! Argh!!! I want one o.o My baby needs one.
Yes, physically all of these transmissions are exactly the same.

I'm not sure, with what information I can "gather" from Porsche, what the difference is between the '06 and the '09 boxes.

Yes. Look at the picture that was taken with me in it. That's a G28/11/12 sitting there, in that open box. These pictures were taken Friday mid-morning, about 11am. I had that particular gearbox installed in a car, before I left, Friday afternoon.

I'll post the other gearboxes I have, when I get some more pictures.

I was thinking that the additonal "gear" might make acceleration much better than with the 3 speed, but I didn't actually sit down and graph out the differences in ratios, between a 3 speed and a 4 speed.

I can assure you it makes a difference. A big one.

I put an 84 4spd into an 81 auto an it woke it up by a large amount. The larger bell housing after 86 takes a BFH on the early cars between-the-seats area. But the 84 fit just fine. Different trans oil lines and the Bowden needs some j-rigging

The big question is does the torque tube and the rear suspension carrier work without changing?

Strange that I've never done this...

Just for reference, the S4 auto & TC, fitted into the mid-year cars, is tight. But no BFH required.

99% sure that it is no problem, torque tubes are the same for sure on all 4 speeds ! the crossmember part# differs because of the mounting points for the dual late exhaust pipes for each side.

The Prius are all company cars for the business located there..... I hate hybrids such a cruel joke on those who buy them...
