Default Name That Part

This black plastic piece was lying in the back of the '88 I just took delivery of. Anyone know where it goes?

Funny, I found that part last night while cleaning up my work bench and couldn't figure out what it was. Thought about starting a "name that part" thread.

Instrument lighting resistor (input is from all the other BK/BL "dimmable instrument lighting" wires connected to the dimmer rheostat, output goes to the instrument cluster). Note the BK/BL wires?

To be precise, the "perforated thing" is actually the protective cage for the resistor. The resistor is inside.

Ok Captain Electron, then why is there a _second_ lighting resistor when there's already a rheostat dimmer on the pod?

How 'bout this?
