Default 91GT 24K miles "barn" find..just bought

91 GT with 24K miles , two owner. second owner drove it 94-99 , then "retired" it to his collection in his "barn". See picture, what a barn.

Numerous 60s 70s muscle cars, Pantera, 60's corvettes, GT40 (with 350 miles) , Porsche GT3RS, New Porsche Turbo cabriolet, Z06 , Ferraris, dozen custom harleys, and goes on and on.

Car looks new, inside outside, etc. Obviously needs to be resurrected and gone over complete. Barn is climate controlled, with radiant heated floor as well.

I have discussed it's resurrection with Dave Chamberland and will be looking to get into it this fall/winter.

Right now its at an indy Porsche shop (one that took care of it when it was on the road). I talked to owner and he is fully knowledgeable on 928s. I'll be having all fluids flushed and filled and an overall mechanical check. I spent last two weekends going all over the car. Only issue is the PSD - fault comes up - as the brake fluid seems not to have been touched

Nice find!! Looks pristine. As you do the refresh take lot's of pic's of how stuff is put together ("Does this hose go over that one or around behind that other piece?") and post here abouts for those of us still trying to recover cars from hack mechanics.

What's the status of the other cars in the collection? Are they going to auction, or being sold off piece meal?

Congrats, that is a very nice car.

Helluva find!

The PSD fault could be a bad/dirty ABS sensor or short. Have it flushed either way.

My PSD light would go on (along with ABS) until I realized the battery wasn't secure and was shorting to the cover every bump I hit.

If the shop has a Bosch KTS-300 (Hammer-aka Tool 9288) or equivalent, they can test a bit and also drain/bleed. I would suspect they do. Also need the ABS/PSD tester (more rare).

Thanks all for the comments.

Sport seats?
No not sport seats, comfort seats.

What's that electronic gizmo under the steering wheel?
Yes radar detector under steering wheel to right. He said he would go to F1 racing in Montreal each year and he would go with the 928 , best driving car. About a 700 mile round trip for him. probably where most of the 10K miles he put on it came from the 5-6 years he drove it before retiring it . That will come out....1990's technology!

If the shop has a Bosch KTS-300 (Hammer-aka Tool 9288) or equivalent, they can test a bit and also drain/bleed. I would suspect they do. Also need the ABS/PSD tester (more rare).
Yes he has that and newer diagnostic test equip for Porsche and will be checking out the car. We'll have to see how bad the PSD brake fluid is, it is a vented system so air can get in which means it's probably "jelled" brake fluid at this point. Need to check fuse and relay in battery box area to see if they are good or not.

What's the status of the other cars in the collection? Are they going to auction, or being sold off piece meal?
Not sure, he has many cars and said he wanted to thin the herd out a bit and try and get most of the cars back into his garage at his house (garage would probable hold about 20 cars easy up/down the sides). Also he's a big Harley fan now and has about a dozen of those as well.

I look forward to seeing it at Porschefest in September!
Afshin, hopefully yes at Porschefest, the car's really clean , ALMOST as nice as your previous "Beverly Hills GT".
