LOOKING AT SOME USED WHEELS FOR MY 87 S4
F: 8" 52 OFFSET
R 9.5 47 OFFSET
These are 18" off a 964

Many thanks,
Tom

Search is your friend on this topic. Many varying opinions and countless threads on the subject. Stock et for the front is 65, IMO the min anyone should go is 55. With the best 18' OEM options being 57 for the C3's and 59 for 18" Panamera wheels.
To answer your question yes they will fit. But the question "will they work" depends on how far outside of stock specs you are willing to go, understanding that handling is effected.

IMO the effects of scrub radius, ackermann effect, tramlining etc.... things commonly associated with using the "wrong" offset wheels, often ignores the fact that different tires can have an effect on these things too. People change from stock 16" wheels and old tires to 17 or 18 inch wheels and new tires and any negative effects of the drive are blamed on the "wrong" offset. Never mind the tires are completely different.......
So yes they will work, but there may be some negative effects to the driving experience due to the different size wheel, offset, and tire choice. I have a set of 17x8 et52 wheels I've run on multiple 928's, including on the track for DE days. Never experienced anything negative because of them. YMMV.
FWIW the 89GT wheels are 17x8 et60.

Those offsets are much better.
