I also have an interior rear view mirror, same condition as that listed by Benton (post 31). Lets start at the same $15.00. Again I will pay shipping worldwide.

Since Roger blew away my bid on the Project 928 book, I'll start the bidding on Jerry's watch at $25.

Mike, I request that you close the Auction on the third pair of Gap Filler Strips so that I can ship them.

I also request that you close the auction of the 78/79 Hatch Latch Reciver Liner/insert, and I will ship that one also.

Now, I will donate a fourth Set of Gap Filler Strips; and I donate another 78/79 Hatch Latch Receiver liner/insert.

I also donate one of my Hatch Latch Receiver Liner/Inserts for the 80 and later 928s. This one is good for all the cars up through 95.

Also Close the 928 Watch, and I will look over my collection and try to donate another watch later. I don't have another 928 specific watch right now, but I will look for a Porsche specific one, or maybe an open Mechanical see-through watch that is really cool.

Default Keyring Donation

Here is another item I came across that is suitable for this auction. It is a really cool Porsche Theme Keyring with a nice fob with a simulation of the Porsche Crest on it. Hereby Donated.

Please be advised that my previous requests to end the bidding on a given item, even when I was going to replace it in some way, was/is apparently out of line, and I sincerely appologize for the confusion and any inconvenience. My last such requests have therefore been denied. All the current bidding will continue for the full two week period previously announced with no exceptions.

I am very pleased with the bids that have been made for the items I have donated and will therefore donate a fourth and a fifth set of Windshield Trim Gap Filler Strips (two seperate donations), for the good of the cause.

Very Sincerely, Jerry feather

I see that I must be the master of confusion. Apparently when my request to close the bidding on the third set of WS Gap Fillers was denied, so was the donation of a fourth set. Then I have donated a fourth and fifth set in my next previous post. What that means is that the most recent donation is a RE-DONATION of the fourth set, so in fact there are is a total of five sets of these to date. Otherwise one might count them up and come up with a total of six, which would be in error.

Jerry,

Just to be clear, I didn't think anything you have been doing or suggesting is 'out of line'. I really appreciate all you have done and continue to do to advance this cause. At the same time I have only so much time to dedicate to this auction and having items listed, then closed then new identical ones relisted, while generous and clearly more advantageous than just listing one and waiting for it to close, is very confusing and hard to maintain. (hence the difficult to navigate first post).

This is an auction forced into a conversation thread format.

I would like very much to keep up with everyone's bids while attempting to generate interest in new items and manage the transactions in such a way as to keep all existing bidders engaged and informed without making it seem like I'm trying to get them to re-bid higher.

This auction will be done at the end of August and any items that have not been bid on at that time will not be re-listed anywhere by me. In the meantime I will attempt to co-ordinate the payments and shipping of all of the items that were bid upon and hopefully it will all be settled within the first two weeks of September or so.

Thank you to you and all of the listers and bidders on here. The amount may not be life-changing but it will be something and it will represent the efforts of many of the people who wanted to do something for Andre's family.

Again, Mike, I apologize for my contribution to your extra effort. This is a worthwhile cause and you certainly get credit for creating it. I didn't think you thought I was out of line, but just complicating the program unnecessarily.

Let's see if we can make this program work for the purpose for which you created it.

I will donate a second AutoArt 1:43 model of the 928, including shipping in the US and color choice of white or minerva blue. Let's do a minimum bid of $45.

And since Andre had a 928 with the competition package, I will also donate one 928S model key chain that looks like his car. Starting bid for this item should be $25.
