Jeezz that 6 cyl sure looks clean ;)

That must be one of the first what 13 or 15 '94's as it has the Cup I wheels... That or the original owner just preferred the Cup I wheels (which I couldn't blame anyone for that!) and switched them out.

UMmm...forgive me for asking, but is there something wrong with this guy ?

He has a stack on "no bid" auctions on ebay and his prices seem to have the decimal point in the wrong place.

Just curious.

No ... there's nothing wrong with this guy. He's well respected in this community, consistently finds low mileage excellent condition examples, and gets good prices for them.

Where do you think the decimal point should be?

Quick check of the VIN shows it as a 93.

$1,050,000?

spazzmo 07-29-2012 07:43 AM

Not $100K that's for sure...certainly not in the US anyway.

I guess the rest of the worlds "Ebay" population agrees as he has 23 completed auctions all without attracting a single bid, and it looks like his running auctions won't get any either.

Anyway, it's neither here nor there really......lets just see how it all plays out, shall we ?

I was merely curious.

He gets those $$$ for low mile late MY 928 regularly. EBay is just one more way of advertising them. Actual deal is usually done outside eBay. Anyone who do not believe low mile GTS is not $100k can try to find one for sale elsewhere.

spazzmo 07-29-2012 08:05 AM

Ahhh...there you go then.

"Figures are indicative only".

hehehe

Elsewhere, like the 3-4 on UK Ebay right now you mean ?

Is that what you mean by "elsewhere" ?.

Just clarifying.

Links to the 3 or 4 low-mile manual GTS's in the UK currently for sale? The three I see are all auto and all have north of 80k miles. The world supply of nearly-new 5-speed GTS is pretty damn small, and way off the end of the normal distribution.

More than one 5-speed GTS has fetched north of $US100k in the last couple of years, and this seller had one of them. But certainly you know the US market very well?

Start a thread about your car - as a new member here your posts have been remarkably devoid of photos :) I'm sure a lot of the Aussie landshark list members are curious about your eventual purchase.

linderpat 07-29-2012 09:44 AM

Michael got over $100k for a gts last year. It is discussed here on rennlist.

mickster 07-29-2012 10:19 AM

Having seen a damn near new 87 S4 5 speed a local purchased from him, all I can say is it was worth every cent. As nice as any new car you could buy today.

spazzmo 07-29-2012 10:33 AM

Hilton, yeah and they're all 20 grand or so.

How about you plow 80 thousand into making one of them all nice and rosy then ?

Of course, you could buy a manual GTS for 30 grand and then plow 70 grand into it instead.

Just seems like a silly waste of time to me, but there you go.

As to your pics question......no.

I would have though those list members had better things to do with their time.....obviously not. I don't see the big deal......it's just a cheap old Porsche, like pretty much all 928's.

I think certain people have far too much time on their hands.

Range Rover 07-29-2012 10:35 AM

I believe that Michael got around $114,500 for a '95 5-speed last year. Don't quote me on that, though.
