With either clamp, folks should check the flexplate {at least} once a year.

After one installs a clamp for the first time, important to replace and torque only the 4 most anterior bolts (2 per side). This way the lower bell housing cover can be removed easily giving access to your clamps. I check my tension/lack of movement every other oil change while the oil is draining. Piece of cake with 4 bolts. Thanks Ken.

We will always recommend checking the flex plate/drive shaft pullout at every oil change with our Super Clamp.
Things can change, fail or break and with this being such an important engine health issue, checking it often would be prudent no matter what you are using.

I've had my PorClamp on for over a year after having end play pressure released. Need to do a re-check soon, but based on your information I'm not worried.
