Product Information

Product Name Part No. Quantity
Fusion HID Xenon Conversion Kit - H3 Type (Pair)

Configuration: -55W-4K
HID Output Wattage: 55 Watt - Stage 2 (60% brighter)
Light Beam Color: 4300K (Crystal White - Factory/OEM HID Color)

You may wish to locate Hid high voltage extension cables, as the inner bulb harness can't reach to exit the housing. And this requires a tricky install of the lenses and close mounting of the ballast to the housing, but can be done.

I see zero...zero...pattern issues on the fog beams, or the high beams.

Keeping them at OEM 43000k color, blends well with the 8" euro h4's that I have.

I will go find something flat, near a wall and get pictures soon, and repost.

I totally disagree.

H5's are scattered all over, and very weak even with upgraded bulbs. As far as pothole recognition, H5s do not outperform the H4 Halogens I use (motorcycle 7 inch housings with 55/85 bulbs.).

Yeah, I believe this is an illegal component. You won't find them at NAPA or O'Reilly, and any local sellers are rather "under the counter" about it, advertising only on Craigslist or eBay. You won't see any known bulb manufacturer (e.g., Philips) making adapters for their HID bulbs to fit H5 or H4 housings. Despite that I've never had any legal or practical issue with it. So many newer cars come with HID that CHP has no practical way to check this. With H4s I'm comfortable I am getting better lighting while not affecting others adversely. And, man, when you get out on the open road with no other traffic, those HID high beams seem to light up the whole planet.

IMO, and from much experience, relayed H4's in whatever diameter with "hot" bulbs or even normal ones, is a vast improvement over stock. HID's are really finicky when it comes to beam patterns while mounted in a fluted lens. And the lack of availability locally if some parrt of the system is a huge turn-off.

Personally, I now run relayed H4's w/ 90/130W bulbs and they are WAY more than adequate. And if/when the bulbs burn out, they're $8.

I tried 3 different HID sets in my shark and ditched them all, for the halogens. Similar story with my audi and vw's.

okay a Kalifornia LE opinion.....928's aren't exactly on the "list" for equipment violations.....young kids with spiky hair in some FWD hatchback...YES.....more "distinguished" gentlemen like Speedtoys or Bill....not so much.....sure if one were to do a Bill Ball style burnout then you might have an issue

I NEVER got a ticket in my 928......

The practical side of it is that my brother, Uncle Mitchell has declared war on lights that blind him, use in the Southeast at your own risk.

I've been thru a number of different types of bixenon bulbs, and every one had a different shield than the other

I was very sensitive towards good patern, and oncoming traffic issues.

Just...I see NO shield here.

Crap DC ballasts at that price. And that style hood on the bulb I did not like the results of.

Will get a photo tomorrow of what exactly is in my car.

I agree with Speedtoys,
I've run HID and tried different spectrums of colours. Stay with 4300-5000k and nothing higher. Higher kelvin does result in more light but it's not a useable light on the road. It's actually harder to see some things.

Prove it and provide it.

This upgrade seems like a no brainer. Our headlights are weak. I'll be ordering soon.

Yes, I thought the same thing with the 8000k comment.
