Default RIP Tony Lapine

Died April 29th 2012.

http://umwelt-panorama.de/news.php?newsid=128571

The article is in German and I can't find any mention in any English papers, but he passed the other day. For those that do not know who he is, he had a huge hand in the design of the 928.

This is seriously saddening.

My heart goes out to Hans and his family.

Didn't know about the Opel stint. So I have owned 2 cars designed by him, the other being a '70 Opel GT.

928 was actually designed by Wolfgang Möbius, he's the one on the left in picture with striped shirt. Lapine was head of design studio and certainly had influence in how 928 turned out but Möbius did actual design.
