I just saw Dave C. but he didn't give me the impression he was going...maybe with him it's assumed? Definitely will sync with him.

I certainly recognize the value of (a) rolling in packs, (b) having other cars with different sets of spare parts on board, (c) having a "guru" in the pack.

Excited to have my first opportunity after a decade of work, work, work!

Also I think he may be picking up another "928 Guru" on the way...so you will be surrounded by "928 Experts".

Of course he may be in a fur'n car again, last year he drove an Orange "350Z".

I have a feeling DC will never let me Live that one down!!

See ya soon,

Well my A/C barfed out all its refrigerant on my garage floor a while back. Was pouring out and dripping down from the compressor. I was figuring the worst and that I needed a new compressor so i thought I would wait until after SITM when some cash got freed up. My wife on the other hand said it would be cruel to make the boys right in the hot car or get buffetted by driving with the windows down. So bite the bullet and diagnose it and see if it can be fixed in time. Well the diagnosis came back that a rubber o-ring blew out. hopefully it will all be back together and working this week. yay! The trip to SITM will be much more comfortable.

Default Waynesboro VA Thursday Night before MM1 Friday AM

Who plans to rendezvous in Mad Anthony (Wayne's) town Thursday evening? There has been a pretty good crowd the last half dozen years or so getting together for dinner. I know a couple of folks have already posted their plans to be there, let's get together!

Martin, I will be in Waynesboro Thursday night. Why don't you post location/address and time for a meet up Thursday. Hope to see others too.

Hey Glen, glad you are going to make it! How about the Outback Steakhouse at 6 or so- it's right off I64 Exit 94. Or there is a new Mexican restaurant across the street where the old South River Grill used to be, where we met before. Anybody who needs more details, let me know, I live less than 10 miles from MM1.

Martin,
Depending on traffic, and/or how fast I can drive, I should be there 8ish. Please post on here where you wind up eating so us late comers can catch up.

Courtshark,
I'm pretty sure I'll still be out at 10

Default Sunday - "Sharks at the Pool" Pool Party

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!! - Bring your Swimsuit to SITM!!!

The reason the SITM Sunday schedule was "TBA", was I had been trying to sort out something different this year on Sunday. I had 2 different plans, but "Plan A" which involved an Airport runway (long story) has not worked out in time....so we are going with "Plan B" for the Sunday Event!!

SHARKS AT THE POOL - Pool Party at the Best Western Courtyard Pool and Tiki Bar. 10am - UNTIL!!

Location: "The Beautiful Best Western courtyard area, including a large, seasonal outdoor heated pool, picnic area with gas grills, swing, and deck area surrounded by picturesque mountain views."

They are putting together a special "Sharks" lunch menu for us with Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Chicken Sandwiches and more (will have exact menu tomorrow). Grills are also available if you want to char your own "mammal Flesh :-)

The Tiki Bar will be open to serve your Favorite Beverages, or bring your own!!

We have arranged for a later than normal checkout for everyone, 12 noon, so there is less rush to checkout. We will also have a bunch of rooms by the Pool all day Sunday for anyone that wishes to change clothes before, after, or during the Pool Party.

It will be a blast to just relax, hang out and chill out at the Pool with everyone that can stay longer on Sunday!

DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR SWIMSUIT if you want to enjoy the pool, which BTW should be nice and heated by then...although, according to weather reports it is going to be unseasonably warm for SITM!

See everyone soon and please drive safely!!

Dave

It was warm last year if you had no A/C like me !

But this year I have it so let the mountains bring it on, it is still better than rain or heat in the lowlands like where I live!

My y-pipe install is moving along so I expect to see you next Friday, on time!

Thanks guys, I think it will be fun for us "kids" of all ages.... Not sure why I hadn't thought of it before, duh!!

The more I think about it, the more I am really looking forward to more "quality time" just hanging out and chilling with my fellow 928ers on Sunday. I know some need to leave early Sunday as always for a long drive home, but I really hope as many as possible can stay and hang out.

OH, one more thing....

Just kidding, the hotel will have towels, but if you want a "beach towel"..listen to what Towelie says..

:-)

When I made my reservations last week at BW I asked about the pool, the lady said it was closed for maint., and wasn't sure if it would be open in time for SITM. This is great news for my daughter Chrystal, She's coming with me again this yr., and being part fish, hoping for the swimmimg pool to be open. Pool party is an EXCELLENT idea!

My wife and I will be driving in Saturday morning from Knoxville TN. This will be our first time to SITM. I just finished adjusting the dual disc clutch.
