Thanks Tim. I just got a payment from someone in Chicago. Is that for your 86? I'll ship later today or in the morning.

Kyle, if you are out there, I will need to know the year of your 928 to provide the correct Cowl Cover.

Craig
If it so tight that it is getting deformed any I suggest that you remove it or at least lift it off of the top edge of the firewall and then pull firmly on the top of the firewall toward the front of the car and it will move a bit to get the fit perfect. Otherwise glad to hear it; and thanks for the report.

No Jerry, what I meant by 'tight glove' is that it is perfect. Had to work the front firewall edge a little with my fingers, but the fit is perfect - no stressors or deformities.

Just received and installed mine, what a difference! Some PO hacked up my old one so it would hit the wiper mechanism occasionally.

Jerry's design is well thought out and the fitment is great. I'm really impressed with how well it duplicates the factory appearance and at how it interfaces with the three mounting tabs under the metal cowl trim piece.

It looks like I will need to shift the firewall towards the windshield slightly to get the proper fitment against the rear edge of the cover, as per the included instructions. Not a big deal.

Thanks Jerry!

BTW Jerry, the seal looks great and fits well. The texturing along the bottom edge is a nice touch. I took some pictures but the resolution is too high to post here. I will have to use my cell to snap some pics instead.

Wonderful! Another happy user of some of my items.

By the way, there is a thread on here about a year ago about installing one of these Cowl Covers in the 928 where I devised a sort of crude method on displacing the firewall rearward to accomplish what is mentioned in the instructions. Look it up and give it a try.

I ran out of these for the LHD cars and had another run of them formed. My Plastic shop that does the vacu-forming turned this over to their new guy and he pulled the whole batch a little too little so that they did not match the form completely. They looked pretty good but they would not allow the seal on the front to fully seat, so I had to reject the whole batch. They did it again and they came out perfect.

The problem is that although not only did the cost of the material go up some, but I think they hid at least the cost of the wasted material in my final cost, so the price is now up a bit. In addition, my time in finishing these is getting more valuable to me. So the new price for these for the LHD cars is $90 plus S&H. The shipping is still $20 to domestic addresses and about $50 to most of the rest of the world, Canada is about $40. All by priority mail.

The ones I originally made for the RHD cars are still the same $75 price, at least until I run out of those, which I think will be quite a while.

The Cowl Seal is still $15 and the stickers are still $5.
