928 pace car.

I've never seen this one before. Right after the first crash you see it being followed by a 911

GTS with ski racks?

Here is another 928 safety car! This is Kiborts old car...the Bonneville car. I think Ed is trying to resurrect that now IIRC.

This was at Laguna Seca in '98 BTW...or maybe it was even '99, but I think it was '98.

I saw the Kibort car at Watkins Glen in the late 80s. Equipped with a doc, nurse and the jaws of life in the hatch.

that was the other pace car (the red one ) remember, mine was painted white after the red paint job from the WR. also didnt have the parking lights on the fenders.
so, the question is, where is this pace car??? the holber car was on TV for several IMSA races., most notably, was the tommy kendal crash back in the 90s.

I was at the Glen in 91 and saw that first hand.

MK,

I see what you are talking about! I thought the one I saw was yours, but I guess NOT!

That is a good question though, which car is that one and where is it at?!

Were there only the two IMSA Safety 928s? The red one & the white one? If so, then the Red one is in the Brumos Collection in their museum. I've seen it there several times.

Here's a link to the thread I posted about their museum. In post #3, Tom M posted this scanned page from the article from Panorama about the Brumos Museum showing their red IMSA 928 Safety Car.

Does anybody know where the red S4 from Brumos is, now, and what is its VIN?

It’s sitting in Ed Stanke’s shop.

Oh, wait. Wrong safety car.

Hmmmmmmm,

Red 88 that went to IMSA and then Bob Snodgrass at Brumos? Could this one of the two CS's that are missing?

Somebody has to locate this car again and see if it is one of them. This is what you are looking for:

Someone has found another picture of this red S4 (or 1989 GT?) and... it has a sunroof.

So it can not be one of the two US 1988 CS ;)
The side protections were an indication, but I prefer to be sure. I have seen so many unusual things on production CSs

The roof antenna seems to indicate a 1989 or later car..
