As to why I agree with what Sterling has said, Sold my wifes '90 in dang near pristine shape, only to see it 1.5 years later and it was trashed. I know it shouldn't matter what the new owner does, some of us feel a bit more towards these cars that others. It was not a fun feeling seeing it that way. I get a sick feeling anytime I see one of these beauties burnt, crashed, or have things happen to them due to operator error.

Sean,

Giving different opinions (negative or otherwise) about a mod, change or upgrade to a car..or even an "I told you so", is one thing. A personal attack upon the individual is a whole nuther thing, even more so without any real knowledge of the situation.

Cheers,

Dave

Sean, as I think you might remember, I had one of those "operater errors". Thanks to your help I overcame it and the car is running great.

How is it possible to "trash" a 928 in a year and a half?

I think this idea reeks of 928 snobbery. Matter of fact, I think this is one of the dumbest ideas I've heard in a long time.

How did this go from new owners trashing cars to mod bashing and hate mail?

I agree on the pesonal attack deal, guess I didn't think it all the way through and let personal exp dictate my immediate thoughts.

Hell if I know, Transporting greasy parts in the hatch w/o laying anything down on the linen carpet. Brakes wear down to metal on metal and just drive on them for months. Never clean/wash/treat/change oil/fix anything.

It was depressing.

The eclectic nature of the 928 community is one of its greatest strengths and a large reason why I still own a 928 and go to events such as SITM, SIH. The central Ohio 928 community is a strong tolerant group, they put up with me, always willing to help each other; it is a microcosm of 928 members at large.

Jim,

Don't sweat it, I think you and I have accidentally fallen into the "Ferrari Forum".... I am gonna try clearing the cache on my browser and manually typing in the URL for the 928 Forum...hopefully that will work...you should try it too.

Have a great 928 weekend..what's left of it.

Cheers,

Dave

This thread is a reflection upon the person that started it. I did not send any nasty PM's to sterling. I stated I didnot like his comment and that he could say it to me personally. Then he wrote back that I have been begging for money, and asking for free parts for my car. I stated that that was not true, please show me the proof and he was unable. He keeps attacking me and I tried to explain the situation and it falls on deaf ears. If he thinks I acted like a 16yr old and trashed this car that's his opinion.

The two previous owners know differently. I have not bashed ED he is my friend. There were issues with the car so what it is a car. Sterling acts like it was the holy grail and that she was perfect. Well it is a 27 yr old car with a custom blower on it! Hello!

He talks about perserving the beauty of the 928 but he takes a blow tourch to his and changes its lines? I don't understand that.

Please feel free to post my nasty PM's
Please feel free to show me were I begged for money.
Please feel free to show me were I asked for free parts.

Please I dare you. You need to stop slandering me and my name.

Lets settle this the old fashion way. I will be more than happy to rent some gym time and put on the gloves. Win or lose the beers are on me when we are done.
I am a little tired of all these tough guy's sitting behind their keyboards pontificating upon their own greatness!

I am done with all this. Not worth my time and I really don't like being angry or upset over something so trivial.
