I'm thinking I can make four or five good timing belts from the lot. I'll just cut out the best sections and then stitch them together. I'll use heavy duty thread.

Yup. That's why I save all my old belts too. You never know when you might need to make one up.

Throw down? Really? It's a business not the streets, ethics apply.

Oh and Danny i don't know about some of the stuff but those pistons looked to be in decent condition, like they just need a blasting with soda or bead.
I stayed away from here for about a year on a self imposed exile, and when I came back Mason was in full swing, it took me about reading three of his posts to know I did not want to deal with him.

As far as the parts he had for sale, I would not pay any more than scrap value for them.

It is all the parts that did not sell so a heap of junk.
From what I understand the parts he DID sell were junk.

Do some more research here... 'cleaning' the coating off the pistons ruins them. They make cool paperweights at that point.

In fairness, not all. When he first started, I bought a rear bumper for my 84 off him and no kidding, it looked new when I received it. I think I paid ~$90.

There, that ought to get me some karma points

God bless America. Mason has been gone at least a year and people who never bought anything from him continue to bash him.

I bought some parts from him when he first started out and I got what I paid for, for next to nothing. A year later, I bought a used radiator from him and it leaked. By this time, his prices had gone up considerably, and his customer service turned to ****. People bash him in response to his contempt for us. He would bitch about people who were unwilling to pay top dollar for **** parts. His business practices bordered on fraud.

Method of operation: do a few very good deals to keep some mouthpieces saying positive things; screw the majority. Very common methodology for committing internet fraud. So it is important to be vigilant. You see a couple complaints, immediately pull back and don't buy, no matter what good experiences others have had.
