Default Anybody here absolutely positively NOT looking for a 928?

I'm just wondering if anybody here has firmly shut the door on buying another 928?

As much as I intellectually know buying another car would not be wise, would cause LOTS of trouble, no place to put it, etc etc, I'm still looking on CL, and from time to time checking on something I find.

I think if I found just a great deal that rather than mess with flipping, I would pass it on. What worries me is that I think I would buy and keep if I found something closer to my ideal 928 at a good price.

Anybody sure there isn't some 928 out there exactly the way you would like it that you could not resist buying?

Now that the only U.S. Cobalt 5-speed GTS is defunct, there's really no other street 928 that I would want. But maybe when the kids are a bit bigger I could easily be tempted by the right track 928....

No interest here. I'd likely not buy another 928 I like to have some variety. (no offense to multiple owners, just not my thing) The new Boxster coming out soon would be nice

No more for me. The care and feeding ( restoration and modification ) of 3 928's has spread me too thin. I wish I hadn't gotten into this many cars. I'm looking to thin the herd.

Door is shut. I have one of the best and it will take a lot of effort and expense to make it the perfect car, then I will just enjoy it.

Same for me. I plan to focus on my '87 going forward and will be selling the others.

That being said, I'm sure that I'll come across future 928s that I can't pass up, just not in the near term.

Same here, I need variety... Currently in the stable is my 1989 S4 with 47k miles in what I think is excellent condition and 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo, 70k miles and also in excellent condition... BUT.. am looking into a possible "Barn Find 356" of a relative of my dad's wife he married after my mom passed away... See the post here >>>> Possible Barn Find...

Start watching mobile.de because when they are 25 years old you don't have to EPA or DOT the cars and there are several Cobalt 928's in Germany! If the Euro collapses (as it very well might at the rate things are going there...though we will be right behind them with the dollar at the rate things are going here...so what can you do???) there might even be some good deals.

Since I bought my '92 back in 2000 the exchange rate and conversion to the EURO have just made it less and less of a deal to buy over there...not to mention if the car is less than 25 years old all the extra work that has to be done to it!

Oh, to answer the question... No I am NOT DONE... 8 is NOT enough in my case! Though I need more garage space and I would like a Maserati GranTurismo. Jim D is keeping his eye out for a super early auto OB for me...all his are 5spds so now I have him on a hunt for an auto!

Speedtoys I like your 35 idea! I have 3 V-35's that live across the runway from me and an A-36 that lives across the street...in fact the hanger door is open right now and I can see it peeking out!
