Red face Day 12... Paint Prep

... prepping for paint today.... It heads to Phoenix next Friday for a fresh makeover and some cleanup... I have had terrible luck in Tucson for painting and always better luck in Phoenix... so away she goes next Friday after the Auto tranny fluid change and gasket changeout.

Rub strips and mirrors off for aeromirrors... break-light and antenna removed and window trim removed so far.

Had some time and got the new shark speakers in, so here they are in the panel. The will look even better when the panels are back in the car

Emerald, looks good! Are you painting the car the same color? Will you be putting the third light back on the trunk?

Yes and yes. It is only off to get painted and get the trunk fixed. I really like the cream on this car

Got my baby back from Radmacher Porsche Service here in Tucson after the tranny fluid change... Oh baby... only thing that slips now is the tires on the street giddy-up baby!!

Also finally wired in a quick stereo so I will have some tunes for the Gathering on the 7th.... I have the door panels out still... toying with putting them in temp just so I have have tunes on the way up Friday for the paint drop off in Phoenix... though the sound of the motor is a sound to fall in love with as well...

Default The work continiues

since I lost my belts and wire harness, I decided it was time to do the top end as well... and as I started that project it was one buy after another... Just about everything is new... and the things that are now will be. I ended up with some vacuum leaks (flappy valve I think and I know where a couple others are).

Here are some shots for fun

1st shot is the end of the harness and the belts...

That's like time-lapsed photography! You made it look easy.

What's the story about the belt and wires?

I think something from the painter's fell down into the belts and they all came off. 3 of the shredded and took out the fan wireing harnesses. All fixed now.

Now if I can get the vacuum leaks taken care of, I will be golden.

I have more parts on order from roger right now, so a week or so and I should be back on the road

I really like the color/look of the intake. Is that RustOleum's hammer finish? What color?
