nice wheels!
I have an 83" 928. Will Carrera light 8" front, 57 offset, 235 tires and 11" rear, 51 offset, 295 wheels fit?
I'm not experienced in this area and any help would be appreciated. Looking at a local set in the paper. He's asking $1200, but tires are about shot. Thanks

That looks GREAT! I tried to get those for my '88 S4 as well! Just missed them I guess.
Steve, the 8" 57 offset is not a Carrera Light Weight but a Carrera III wheel. That front will work GREAT, not sure about that rear though... pretty wide... Most of us are running the 10" 65 rear. A 295 is going to require really close offset and I am not sure what you are looking at will be it. Someone with more experience will chime in I am sure. I have 285's on my 10" 65 offset rear CLW's on my '85.

James,
Thanks! You are correct, they are 18" Carrera III's. Talked to Tom Middleton and he said that with a
2mm spacer the rears should fit, but it would be tight. Maybe I should pass on them.
What's a good price for these and/or Carrera lights?
Bob, nice wheels once again. Hope to do the same.

Carrera lights are increasingly hard to find (at least the factory ones are) as most have moved on from their 911's to other homes (at least those that are likely to be changed out). CIII's are easier to find and have a much better front offset.
I think that CIII's came in the 10" 65 offset as well as this 11" you are looking at and I think the 10" would work w/o spacers with a 285 tire easily. The spacer idea is good too, but I don't like non-hubcentric spacers. So if you can find a 2mm hub centric spacer these would be a great wheel. Otherwise wait for an 8" and 10" set.
Cost is all over the place, but expect to pay something around $1k for the wheels with worn out tires would be my guess... New aftermarket CLW's with tires are in the $1800 range... $2200 if you have them painted like the ones in my avatar!
