Headlight adjustment

so while i am searching for the cause of my dim lights/ what upgrade i want, i decided that first thing first is to correctly aim the lights. from what i have read on here it seems i need to do this.

find a level spot with a 20 foot distance to a wall or flat surface.
make a level 3 foot high line and a centerline for the car.
then adjust from there..

sound right?

Thats what I did.

Most any body shop is going to have the correct stuff to am them right, while you can get close with the spot on the wall, it is the off center part that is really important and you are not going to get that right with out equipment IMHO.

Do autobody shops have stuff to aim H4s since they don't have the 3 little locating bumps on them?

I do not know about that, but my set up does them.

so with both of the plastic "cups" at the bottom of the lights was broken they would tip back on their own. looks like the PO had drilled a hole in the headlight fork. zip ties held it down but they always broke. so i used safety wire!

i called some of the better body shops in town and either charge WAY to much to "try and align them" or don't have the correct machine. so tonight i plan on going out and finding a building here on base withe the right amount of room and level and adjusting the lights per that write up. along with the fogs!
