Kenn,
Thanks for the link. I already had that write up.
I also need to glue the head liner back on before i reinstall it. Can anybody suggest what glue / adhesive to use for this. See attached pictures.

The sunroof was removed & I put on new seals and replaced the guide cables on both sides. Now, the roof wont close the whole way (that last 10% where the back of the sunroof needs to come "up" to sit flush with the roofline). I can't wash the car (without being extremely careful) or risk leaving it outside because if it rains I'll be driving a U-boat. Wasn't that the same issue you were having?

9eighty6,
Follow the link on post #15 and that will give you a step by step procedure to get the sunroof to work properly. I think it is just an adjustment issue with your sunroof not closing properly. If you still have any questions post here and somebody will point you in the right direction.

I've got this problem after reassembling the car from paint.
The rear will not come all the way up in the rear. When closed I can apply light pressure and the rear of the roof will come up the last quarter of an inch.
Not sure what I'm missing.
I followed the instructions above:
With the roof closed there are 2 transition blocks on the rear of the roof
these are held in with 8mm bolts these screws also need to be loctited into place,
with the roof closed and the roof level with the car roof the bars should be flat or parallel to the track.
You can see where I scribed the position before I did the disassembly - the sunroof is higher relative to the scribed marks.
Here's the state of my transition blocks with the rear adjustment holes at their limit. The DS does not get parallel. The PS seems better.

Nice...
I also learned that the front of the panel..gets some turbulence and wind noise.because the rubber flocked trim..doesn't go "up" all the way, it's round. But a thin glue backed tape of black felt just to the corners..removed nearly all of it.
Driving around without the inner cover exposes where that and other wind noise is coming from..that yes, the panel then traps, but the more you keep out, the more effective the other layers are after that.
