TT Bearings??

Jeff, I have the same problem with mine. I offered to have 928 Int. do a rebuild TT on the Tech session which I would pay for while I am down here but the said they were going to do the 5 speed again.
My vibration comes in at 3,000rpm and if I fool around with my bowden cables I can get the vibes to be much worse at lower rpm's. I believe it has to do with the trans kicking down sooner.

When it comes to this stuff I do, especially when I'm on vacation!
For further information, the torque converter (TC) bearings seem to go bad more often when there is pressure at the front flex plate for an extended time from the owners we talked to in the past.
Some have even reported that after the front flex plate pressure is released, the growling of their TC bearings goes away until the front pressure builds up again.
This same pressure also seems to hasten the failure of the torque tube (TT) bearings.
Makes sense really when you consider the TC bearings, as well as the TT bearings, are not designed for running under lateral loading.
Best regards,
