Default I would like to upgrade wheels

I have stock dish 16" wheels now. Don't look bad, but my son is on my case to go to a modern look.

I don't want to break the bank, any good links for low to moderate cost 17" wheels?

keep searching ebay and craigslist, i found chrome 19" 996 wheels with tires that will last me the rest of the summer for 600 dollars, and they're in really nice shape.

Good luck and save the originals.

We manufacture custom forged wheels that fit the 928 very well. In 17" a set of 4 wheels is under $3,000.00.

Low to moderate cost is a relative term....but Fikse makes some NICE wheels ! I wonder how much those factory centerlocks were on the GT2RS I drove this last Sunday

Although I am a supporter of the sponsors here.....

Here's a link of the wheels I am thinking about replacing my Cup 1's with..... They are 18"s not 17"s...I am not an offset expert, so I have to defer to those with this knowledge...

I've got Cup 1s on my '85. They routinely turn up on ebay, but prices are all over the place. I got mine in exchange for some work I did on someone's car. If money is one of your concerns, stick to 17s, because you still need to put rubber on them.

Ditto, 17''s make sense.

I sold a set of boxster wheels ( decent for commuter use ) for less than $200 recently.

I just bought a set of 18 inch Panamera 10 spokes for $600. The offsets are very good for the 928 and are 8" front width and 9" rear width so you can put decent rubber on there. The wheels are made by BBS and seem to be pretty high quality.

I also think they look fantastic. I think these are a great option for the 928. They also have the 5 spoke available for the same price right now on Ebay in the same widths and offsets.

^^ Seems like quite the bargain for contemporary wheels! I agree, I like the retrofit trend, but the larger diameters don't always fit the lines as well. Browse the designs at wheel enhancement and then search ebay and the pca/craigslist classifieds.

I opted for some 993 five spokes before going back to phonedials. OK, staggered 16" phone dials....

Still not sure which I prefer, but the gold-tone flats it was rolling on were a bit much for me.

<---- I have sported 993 narrow body twists (non turbo offsets) since I got this S4. Average price $600-900. There is a set on the members only for sale section (Seattle).
