Sway Bar,
Have you driven one of those AMG GT's?
Talk about a claustrophobic cabin... You get in with a shoe horn and some lube and can not see anything.
Then you fire the damn thing up and can not see where the car is or feel where the wheels are... I love the looks, but drove it and thought "Stinking Viper" all over again. Blah!
Gimmeee a car with a nice A$$!

When most of these cars are 20 - 30 years old, yea won't be able to fix them anywhere near as easily as the 928 (if at all if the law sides with manufacturers).
I'll stick with what I've got for quite a while. Simplicity is very beautiful.
When the day comes to move on from the 928, I'm 99% sure the replacement won't be petrol powered.
On that note, the new 911 is downright hideous. They stole the nose from the outgoing Beetle (and the Bug wore it better). I'm thinking VAG cancelled the Beetle to avoid confusion on the showrooms.

I often think about putting them on my outlaw GT... But then I'd probably get tarred and feathered for cutting up a real GT...
Below is the 95 GTS 5-speed that Michael Willhoit sold for $130,000. It recently resold in Canada after being listed for $259,000 Canadian! Yikes that is expensive!

I have a reservation for one as well, but given the production vehicle's dramatic divergence in design from the gorgeous show car, I think my interest is muted at best.
The spy shots are not encouraging, but "Time will tell!"

2012 Sport Turismo Concept (2012/lighter blue) and a current 2018 Sport Truismo. Appears Porsche stayed true to the concept through to production. T

Since getting the 928, I've hit the "next" button a few times, vintage and new. But I have not thought about "replacing" the 928 - there really is no substitute, neither for the car or the experience of owning one. I did have to expand my garage capacity. There's room for more! (Garages, that is).
The most recent acquisition was a Model 3, ten weeks ago. The gas in the tank of the 2017 Macan is now almost three months old. Summer gas - like in my vintage cars. Know what I'm saying?
