Got a spin in Anderson's new toy today- Yow. The seat has a bunch of individual air bladders that inflate and deflate, directed by some accelerometer somewhere, to support you with G-loading, in real time. Crazy.

Hah, the seat is a g-suit.
There was a cheaper retail solution v. AMG,

"“engineered to feel like a comfortable embrace”" haha,
but(t) no one wants to see that
And I should fess up that, realistically I'll relinquish my current 928S if/when I decide to go back to Audi via S5 or, if compelled to stay thrifty an A5, due to past favorable experience with five brothers' quality, reliability, AWD.

Given the acceleration, a G-suit is entirely appropriate. As are the Lululemons on your callipygian companion in the passenger seat as you rocket through the canyons above Malibu.

Wife's seats in her MB caught me by surprise first time I drove it. Not only did the side bolsters pinch my sides as speed increased through the turns, it also massaged and heated these old bones. T

I'd get a kick out of reading the service intervals.. I assume they are more mainstream these days....but more especially the ballpark costs for those?

612's are very DIY friendly- Check out this thread. Good list of parts costs in post #34:

And the coolant pitting issues, post #87.
They're all just cars.

That being said, I have driven my 928 many thousands of miles to where it has 300k + on it now. That was an emotional decision as well...
All my cars I have owned over the years have been for the purpose of the experience and enjoyment.
If I wanted an appliance car, I would buy a Mercedes diesel sedan every 10 years and then junk it afterwards...
Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and c'est la vie..
Best regards,
Richard
