Your Next Car After the 928?

Three Wheelin'
You know that car is so awesome you could have three noses, with one sticking out of your forehead, and boogers hanging out of all of them and still get laid driving that!

it makes me sad to realize my newly acquired 928 may not be in my possession for very long. why? its too needy, and i don't have the skill, knowledge, extensive tool collection, or a lift in my garage to keep it running and maintained the way it should be.
it was a different story when i bought my '87 S4 with 40k miles on it back in '97 - a few little things needed attended to, did some minor upgrades, and learned a lot about maintaining and detailing cars from the good folks on *Porschelist* using my WebTV (yeah, that's right 56k of blazing download speed!) it didn't hurt that an exotic shop 5 minutes away had a former Porsche 928 mechanic working there. that place has since closed.
now 26 years old, the shark will probably need lots of refurbishing as far as hoses, wires, and gaskets go. its sucks, because its a great looking car on the outside, but i know what's lurking on the inside ...
the 928 will always be my favorite car of all time. it was an unbelievable dream come true buying my first one, and i've had my 928 shrine on my wall ever since.
as far as next car goes, i can't afford an Aston, or a new 911 like some on here. i was shopping 996 turbo for a while when the prices were below $40k, but they seem to have shot up again. i really love my current daily driver Evo X MR, and there are reports that the next Evo with be some sort of hybrid freak to rival the GT-R, so i'm not sure that will be in my price range, either. my other option is to keep the Evo and get a poor man's 928 (Pontiac GTO) as a cheap fun second car. i will just try not to look at it too much.
unfortunately, i can't stand boring cars like the Mustang/Corvette/Camaro/Charger/Challenger. while a great value for the performance on some of them, they don't do anything for me - you can't throw a rock without hitting one around here.

The 2015 Supercharged Challenger SRT with 707HP looks and sounds kind of wild.

That was ridiculous in a pathetic way. I guess all that cheap horsepower is only good for shredding pricey tires. I have seen 3.5 for the 0-60, fast but not unreal. (Murf stage 3 does 3.7) I would rather see these cars get some useful tech like all-wheel drive and nicer N/A engines that sound good plus incredible brakes rather than mountains of horsepower that can't be used. --- Plus they will never catch a nice bike.

Nah, I think I'll keep mine, and I think mine will keep.
My 'Pastime' is enjoyed planning a job and working on it, as much as it is piloting it.

Nice sound of the supercharger thru the headlight air intake at the 5:10 time mark.
