I returned the PorKen tool I borrowed in February to Dr Bob yesterday. I've had the tool for several months as after I replaced belt and cam drive, began (very slowly) installing new Konis, a-arm bushings (royal PIA), lower ball joints, etc. Love the Koni / Weltmeister combination in comparison to former Boge / Weltmeister.
Drove the car yesterday to finally return the tool (with AC center vent blowing 19 degree air, thanks to several of Bobs A/C threads) and mentioned I need to get the car aligned. He said drive it in the garage, lets check it. Next thing I know, Bob is aligning my car. The car toe was way off (toe out) and camber on passenger side off.
The car drove straight and true on way back to Sherman Oaks. Thank you Bob.
Reminds me of many years ago when I was visiting Wisconson. Really nice guy offered to let me drive his Corvette on a local race track I had to decline. He already had loaned me his spare Suburban to drive and I was sleeping with his sister but I had to draw the line somewhere.......
