Default Classic 9 Leather Shop

Should i get my center console recovered locally, or is Classic 9 better because it's auto specific? It's about $450 to get it recovered in leather, i haven't priced out any local places yet, any input would be welcome and thanked.

Mark - Black on black 87 S4 5 speed, if you could look into that it would be awesome! New ones in leather for less than 450 sounds amazing, considering 928 Specialists lists a black center console for... about $4000 which made me think center consoles are somehow rare... i don't really see that considering they are just ABS frames are they not? Could even get someone to reman' them if there was enough demand.

Rob has done some awesome work for me. I would use his services as doing it yourself or using an untried source has PITA all over it.

That would be brand new from Porsche............ reserved for only the wealthiest of owners who are don't know how to use a search engine.

PS.. Rob's work is TOP notch

Might go for it. Everyone seems to break those brittle old tabs eh? I broke one when trying to take my center console out. Also, could you guide me to the repair kit you talked about in your listing? Are those tabs absolutely necessary to properly fasten the console to the metal frame?

I'd say yes. Without the tabs the console can easily get out of square which can cause window buttons to get pinched and sticky in either position. Also, the console floats around a little.

Nicole does sell a tab kit that can give you new tabs but you need enough material for the tab kit to mount.
