Default W-Band cleaning

I have been running rich for about 500 miles now everything is back to snuff. It was recommended to do a free air setting for my LM-1.
I pulled the sensor there is a lot of black soot on it what is the best way to clean this or should I just leave it be?
One site said CRC Electronic cleaner other Brake cleaner and still another leave it alone, it does not have many miles on it; I love the internet!
