Had a wonderful dream last night...
Bear in mind I have never actually driven a 928. I have worked on them and am fairly familiar with their intricacies but have not yet had any seat time...
I was in a red GTS with a brown/tan interior...I think I was imagining Bigs' old car...and even though I've never driven one, even in the dream I knew 1st gear was left and back. I was driving it gingerly until it properly warmed up and then I womped on it on a lovely mountain/backcountry road, somewhat similar to the route the SD/OC/LA guys take on Palomar runs. It even handled like I would expect one to, with its limits pretty far out, pounding corners straight.
The sound of the 5.4 behemoth in my dream was just like what I've heard in real life...woke up with a smile on my face.
One thing is confusing...I had heard once that you can't read words in dreams, yet I could clearly make out what road I was on when I pulled over to check my map (lol)...so I have to ask...
Is anyone missing their car?

Bear in mind this is God's way of telling you that you are never going to get one if you keep dumping money into that 944. Ask me how I know.

It was a dream because it was a GTS, in reality it will be an '80 4.5.

How do you know that your not dreaming now? What if you actually own a 928, but believe that you own a 944 and in your dream you are actually dreami.... This is getting complicated. Buy a 928!

Did David Lynch have anything to do with this dream?

Spence - you can drive my car when I need someone to drive and me sit in the passenger seat for data collection and research. You'll need to repeatedly get on the highway at Sorrento and get to whatever speed you can attain before 56.
But you pay the tickets.

isnt that how it's always been...
the funny thing you guys is that, my porsche love story actually started with an '83S, black on like an orange-ish interior...it belonged to a teacher at my high school, and it had been parked in the auto shop waiting for a waterpump for years...the shop teacher didn't trust anyone (but me, eventually) to touch it. i offered to buy it from her but she wanted to keep it. in my sadness and further research i came across the 944 line, and it so happened that for 3 years walking home from school i passed by a salvaged 944 in the driveway of a house every single day, and i finally noticed it...and the rest is history
