Those are hard to find since just putting them in adds 10 HP per pod... They are even better at adding HP than stickers!

James,

You are so right! I have one of the extremely rare 3 guage pods, and it probably added at least 18 rwhp.

I am curious, has anyone seen a better location to put additional gauges if needed??

Criteria for me..

No damage or mods to the expensive interior parts of the car.

No lower to eye level than the factory gauges (prefer not to glance down to the "ashtray level" going triple digits... :-)

Visually pleasing, OR at least not looking like they are duct taped to the dashboard with exposed wiring etc. :-)

Once the car is properly tuned (and presumably you don't need to be doing 100+ to do so) how often do you really need to look at a boost gauge for instance? Same with Air/fuel...how much do you need those on regular basis? They might be fun to look at but I don't think there is anything you can do to change them on the fly is there???

Hmmm, why not disconnect your Tach...once you get used to seeing the speed at the redline in each gear I guess it is useless too.

Hell, ditch ALL the other gauges too, there are Idiot lights for those that don't know how, or care to use gauges...even for the fuel.

Seriously, for those that don't like additional gauges, or can't comprehend the uses or advantages of them, that's cool. But many of us do and actually know how to use them to our advantage....and yes, if you know how, you can change things on the fly.

Default Point taken.

But, but, but, I actually am curious as to what the critical systems are up to....maybe right before armageddon, but none the less, at least I knew right before it blew......

Default Any Questions?

Read the recent ORR report here on the forum..
I'm willing to put money on the engine frying long before the end of the run without the AFR readings available...
While most of us don't run them that hard for an extended period, we also haven't spent years prepping and vaporizing engines getting there either.
The right info at the right time is a good thing.
Just my 0.02.....
