This might be the only contemporary written account of the handling characteristics of a 928 Cup wet sump car.
The oil distribution in the pan would have gone from being "balanced" front to rear to being biased to the rear of the pan after fuel had been consumed. That is eventually fatal to the engine.

I can only imagine what a "cup" version of the GTS might have cost. 1.5-2X the retail price of a showroom 928 if the current gt3 vs C2 cost ratios apply. I'm sure they would have sold a ton of them...
Fast-forward. Looking forward to seeing "cup" versions of the Cayenne and Panamera soon. I nice black Panorama RS Turbo could replace my relatively-ancient 928.
