Thanks for asking!
No progress this year. I had to move from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo (about 300 miles - but almost 7 hours driving due to heavy trafic at both cities) and my car is still there.
My life changed a lot, many personal, professional problems and challenges and unfortunately I was forced to left my car there.
The current status is:
The engine is in place, but running rough and bad idle.
Many small adjustments in interior, exterior and mechanical such as new brake MC to be assembled, hear hatch adjustments, central vacum lock, both rear and front bumper assembly, some electrical issues, etc, etc and etc...
I'm planning to bring the car to São Paulo next month, found one very nice place to make my garage, but unfortunately it's about 10 miles from my home.
But first of all I want to send my car to a Mercedes Benz Germany guy expert to tune it's fuel delivery system.
I'm very anxious to have my car close to me

Just read this entire thread. I just got my 928 a couple of months ago and joined this forum then, so I did not know of you or your unbelievable save. Please keep going and get this car back on the road...we know you can do it! Amazing is all I can say.

Hey Jose, good luck with sorting your stuff out. Life is like that, we all know to well.
Hopefully, you can get your shark back with you, where it belongs. It is such an inspiring save mate!

Finally after 10 months without significant news, my car is scheduled to came to São Paulo (my home town) next week. It needs some minor paint repair and bumpers painting, it will be made in Rio de Janeiro (my previous home town) for the same person who painted it last year.
You guys can't imagine how anxious and happy I'm feeling...
My weekends will make sense again.

I am a new owner just reading this thread for the first time. Congrats on getting it moved close. This story makes my issues seem much more minor in comparison. Good inspiration.
I was in Sao Paulo for work around the time you got it running last year. Impressive city, so many people, so much traffic! But beautiful even so.

Finally I have my car with me, after about one year since I moved.
I can't express how happy I'm!
The car arrived very very dirty. It was parked in a paint shop, and even I'm paying for "special care" and under a very expansive car cover, they ignored and left it near the paint cabin exhaust with window and hood opened for one year.
The car and the engine was covered with pounds of a gray paint dust...
I hope never see that folks again.
Here some pics of my actual garage, it is very small, but it's mine and I can go there every time I want, left my tools there, and listening my rok'n'roll

Air Conditioning check
I'm revising all the previous work and found some mistakes.
The first system to be revised is the Air Conditioning.
It looks very strange.
Fisrt this relay... someone removed the pressure switch and thermostat and wired this relay to bypass those sensors and put one generic drier.
Paint powder everywhere
This is the compressor found in my car. I could not find what car was the donor or if it is original, but it fitted at compressor support. It's is fine, the clutch and pistons are in good shape, so no reason to not use it.
New hoses and a good cleaning needed.

The only record I can find of the compressor is here:

Given it says Peterbilt, its possible the compressor comes from a truck or tractor.

This weekend I've decided to check my car's fuel flow rate.
Last time I put it working, it was running rough and idle very unstable, very difficult to adjust. Flow rate was the first suspect, now I have time, space and peace to do the flow balance.
It's a very tedious job and little information about.
First, this is the picture of my "master switch", for fuel pump and starter.
This is how I'm measuring the fuel flow rate:
First run... We can see some differences, port #8 has a lot of more fuel and Port #2 a little less.
After some try, adjusting the allen bolt at fuel distributor at port #8, I think it's now equalized.
It's time to equalize the port #2:
I don't have the values for the first run, but after several adjustments I have the following volume (30 seconds):
#1 132cc
#2 118cc
#3 128cc
#4 114cc
#5 128cc
#6 116cc
#7 124cc
#8 118cc
I'll try to spend some time this week to make one final adjustment with correct fuel lines installed, and them with fuel injectors.

WOW!!!! That's quite the setup.
Now I'm thinking the injectors in my 79 have probably never been cleaned, might have to look into that.
