Another NC owner added to the list... 32 found so far!

We should probably use SITM this weekend as a good starting point... perhaps a NC Owners sub-meeting to get the monthly GTG ball rolling?

Nice, Barry if you you want to do that go right ahead. I am not going to be able to make it to SITM, and I'm not going to be able to go anywhere for our second Saturday thing either. I was hoping to get some more ideas as far as meeting places go for the upcoming months. The BBQ is Asheboro was not really worth going to get again.

Yeah James... outside of Cali and Texas, I am beginning to think that NC has the highest concentration of RennList 928 owners in the country!

I wonder if 928 Specialists and dC Automotive (former Rixter employ) has anything to do with that?

If you combine Virginia with the Carolinas there would be quite a few more I bet. A bunch of guys talking around here are driving around near my last home in Staunton, VA. When I get the shark running one of these years I definitely plan on making plenty of trips through the mountains up I-77 and then up I-81 to visit friends.

Hi Barry,

Got your PM.. sounds like a great plan. I will get Jeannie to gather all the names of those from NC coming to SITM, and once I get their permission I will give you the list.

See ya soon,

Thanks Dave! That will be especially useful for those attendees that are not on RennList.

I believe before the banquet will be the best time, as I have already found out some are heading home after the dinner. The group I have found so far on RennList totals 34 (including myself)... probably more, if we had the SEARCH capability to find them! They have all received that same PM.

I will be starting a thread to announce the mini-meeting so others can see it (like SC & VA owners that would like to be included).

See you all soon!

hello fellow NCers...
if you didn't catch DR's comment in the SITM thread, I will unfortunately not be able to attend this year

on to your NC group.... NC has the 2nd highest # of cars/owners in the US next to Cali, hell I could name at least a couple dozen more owners than you have so far... and lots of us have more than 1

Barry,
do me a favor and remove the RDU designation next to my name, I'm no more RDU than David is down in Lillington

I don't get out much these days, but can make exception for something local to RDU if it's 928 related and not out in the scorching heat

Actually TX is the highest, followed by Cali as I recall...I could look it up on the 928OC roster and while not everyone here is a member of the OC (but all SHOULD BE) that would be pretty close to the real story I think...

I agree, I know of at least a couple that don't seem to post or aren't on RL. Either that, or I just don't know the screen names. There are a BUNCH in the Raleigh area! I'm still waiting on a list of names/emails from THE Mechanic around that area. I think I've convinced him to join the OC list again.

you can't use the 928OC membership list as a barometer you need to add the DMV//PCA/Rennlist/Pelican lists with the service/parts companies records and you might get a close guesstimate
remember, not everyone is into the "internet" thing, or forums ...
I'll stand by my statement, but after the last couple 928# crunch projects I'll skip compiling the data this time
