If I take really good care of it will it grow up to be a 928 ? Delivered to my door for $900. But no sunroof !! and a stick shift. Not to worry it too will be made a "star".

I'm kind of ashamed to admit for fear that I shall be ostracized for here on... but those 4-bangers have always been my fav... really like the 931 turbos.

Is that a stock exhaust or is he just happy to see you, Jim?

It drove 60 miles to get to my house, it need only do a few more. The car is for a T V show, but NOT Car Warriors. And yes it does leak oil quite a lot of it in fact. Really funny looking under it and seeing all those V W suspension parts and comparing them to the later Porsche bits. Evolution is an interesting process. Would be a fun Lemons car in some ways if it survives the show !

I have considered the 924S from time to time since it has all the 944 upgrades like rear disc brakes ! But you are right all the bits from a 951 should bolt right up to the early 924 and the narrow body is FASTER !

I think you do need a 944 front suspension though to fit a newer motor in right in addition to a nifty upgrade in handling. Those parts can be had for cheap nowadays.

That is a beautiful 78 924!

The hoses off the breather are probably rotten. These normally don't leak that much.

Always liked those.

Father had a 931 back in the '80's and it was a really fun car to drive.

With gas prices the way they are, I'm looking for one myself locally for a work car for my wife so she can un-a$$ the Yukon and save a few bucks. Nice score really.
