The Canadian chapter will not be going. My brothers rolled into town two days ago so we'll be punding down some Canadian brew in Cambridge tonight. Rod is too busy this weekend too.
Everyone, have a blast and keep all 4 tires on the road.

Walking thru DTW w/a 6' fuel line off a '78. Getting funny stares from people.
TSA lady said "I'd never seen that one befo".
See ya'll round 9:30. I'll see if I can hunt down some donuts on the way.

Dang I wish I was coming over. Maybe next year I'll drive the Blumaxx. This may now be the closest event to me, but still a 2 day drive.

Three Wheelin'
Wifey and I will be on our way in about an hour or so and be there around 1130am. Yesterday we put in the new fuel pressure guage, fuel pump, a strainer to replace the effen in-tank pump that was broke in half and fuel filter when the filter-to-pump hard line split at the fitting. leaky gas line means no 928 at Sharks in Hell for me. ****! ROGER...more parts please

Drifting
Michelle and I had a good time. We took off around 4 so the little one could get some sleep. It was really good seeing everyone. Sorry we couldn't stay longer.

Well guys, I am bummed out that I could not go this year. It is the 1 event that I try not to miss. Unfortunately I felt compelled to attend the 50th wedding anniversary celebrations of my career mentor. He did provide a lot of guidance and support for me during my early years at work. I look forward to seeing the pictures and video of the event. Sharks rule! (especially in Hell)

Thanks to Mark and Karen for hosting another really great event, to the Detroit 928OC for all the work needed to make it happen, and to the sponsors who provided support.
It may have been the biggest turnout yet terms of people, if not 928s. There were almost as many 928 owners who drove something else as there were 928s. Even Mark was without this year as both his cars are missing engines. The count ended up somewhere around 20, but not all at the same time, including Simon who stopped in on his cross country trek. A few other Porsches showed up including Andy's always beautiful 964 and Nick's stunning 993 C4S. We also had a clinic on weather stripping - there was a torrential downpour that fortunately lasted just 20 minutes or so. And late in the day Victor showed up with an interesting new twist (no pun intended) on supercharging.

Engine Teardown
We did some teardown of the the engine that used to be in Mark's 928 before it let go at Waterford last year. Considering how bad it was, the damage seemed to be limited to the block itself, one rod and piston, a couple valves, and the oil pan.
But after a thorough examination, Andrew pronounced it dead.
