I'm thinking a carbon wrap would look cool and be cheaper. Any thoughts or guidance you could provide would be most appreciated. Thanks.
I have my sunroof wrapped in the 3m vinyl wrap and it has held up very well.

Oh and if you use the adhesive promoter good luck getting the wrap to come off.

Frank,

Where on Oracal site is the catalog? That sounds like a nice idea - instead of repaint, cover the car in vinyl... Should be less expensive and can be removed down the road...

You just need to create a user profile and login. Once you login, go to promotional catalogs>color charts&product catalogs>Oracal color guide. There is also a free installation DVD in the reference materials section.

This is a cross-post from a BMW E90 forum.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=201689

The steps in here are very detailed on how to do the wrapping. I may have to consider doing this to my console trims and door vent trims!

The website is very basic and they ask for your paypal username and password on an usecured portion of their site. It looks phishy to me.

I'm sure there are other sources to order this fabric from that appear more legitimate.

Fabio,

Compare the product verbage to the site you linked with this one - http://neffywrap.com/index.php?main_...&products_id=1

Same product but different source. I have no idea as to the credibility of either vendor but at least you have another source. Like Mongo said, I'm sure there are dozens to choose from at this point.

Trying to get one of the splitters I have seen here wrapped but not having any luck getting the guys in town who do this stuff to call me back. Probably to small a job for them and it sounds like most of them have not worked with any of the CF looking wraps... Hmmmmm...

I would probably limit my wrap to interior parts such as door vent trims, center console trim, and rear AC trim. I need to find out how to remove the trim around the center vents and climate control though before proceeding.

Center vents pull straight out. The trim around the climate control unit and audio deck also just pulls out, but you need to be careful not to crack it and to pry with something soft enough that will not damage anything.
