I already have someone in mind for the position but I REALLY appreciate all your efforts and support of the 928OC over the years my friend! Don't be a stranger at the events either. There may be no nicer GTS in the country than YOURS and I know everyone here and in the OC would LOVE to see it on a regular basis!

Hi Steven, sorry about not responding. Lots going on with me last few months but still no excuse.
James, perhaps we might ask one of the other NC/SC 928ers if they would like to take over my spot as Carolinas contact? I cannot do it justice. I'm afraid things are not going to let up for me anytime soon. I'm busier now than when I had a job!!!!!

New Sheriff in town for the NC 928 OC guys. It just so happens that it's ME. The OC website has been updated, and I'm REALLY looking forward to what we can do in NC as a group.

August 20th @ Jefferson Village
Off New Garden Rd
Greensboro NC
(In front of Fresh market)
8:30 am to 10:30 am &
3rd Saturday of each month
Antique, Classics, Hot Rods, Exotics, Imports and Muscle cars
Centrally located for the state, very easy to get to once in the area I-40 exit to I-73 to Bryan BLVD and you are there. Being organized by the local ferrari/porsche/aston dealer with the help of the local lambo shop so lots of interesting cars should be there. This is the inaugural event, so who knows. Great excuse and location for a 928 meet.
Seems there are a lot of NC 928 people and Greensboro is in the middle of things so this could be a great event for all.
As luck would have it Saturday's forecast is questionable. So wake up and look out the window at 7:00 AM and if it looks OK drive the hour to a nice meet, if it is raining wait till next month.

Sounds like a pretty good plan. I won't be able to make it to anything until October sometime, but this sounds good for a start!
There is also a similar "event" the first Saturday of each month in Raleigh. Lots of interesting cars.

When the house is built and the car is redone then I might change my info from 2003. The location for this event is almost walking distance and is a nice place and easy to get to. If the weather is nice 928'rs in the area should go. Life is short try to enjoy it.

Okay... I was going to add you to the NC 928 owners list. But for now, I guess you're in New England?

Sorry to hijack the thread...
Okay you North Carolina folks...some of you might have heard I'm losing my job on September 9. We are looking heavily in Texas and New York (where we live now) for my next gig. I have some opportunities coming up but suddenly got in touch with a company in Charlotte that is growing and would involve domestic and international travel. It would be a very decent salary and benefits which I know will go a long way in NC vs. NY!!
I know there are 6 or 7 Charlotte 928 Owners and many in the state. So-have any of you moved from New York to NC?? I've only been in Charlotte 2 times--most recently in 2005 (although I may have been back 1 other time since--can't remember).
We want to send our son to Charlotte Day School (Jewish parochial) so it's going to limit where we live to some degree.
They want to bring me down in about a week to interview in person...
Any advice/feedback would be warmly welcome!
Signed,
Yankee (one day Damn Yankee).
