i was thinking about joining 829oc, but after seeing that most of the links on their website were dead, i was worried that the club was failing.
I emailed chuck a few times but never got a response.

I would love to have a get together closer to the coast. Asheboro is about a 4 hour drive for me, so it would be hard for me to get there for a lunch...

Here's an idea....every month we can change the location of the get together to make it more convenient to the majority of those attending.

I'm sure we will figure out something. Though, I don't see us moving around that much considering keeping everything central is about the same for everyone. If we start having meets out on the coast or someplace like Asheville, people aren't gonna show considering they have to drive 4+ hours to get anywhere.

Now, if we start having things like the guys in Texas which is kinda what i'm basing this on, we SHOULD have a coast meet. Also, have certain regional meets. That way the Charlotte group can have something close to them, or the Triad area. Same with the people on the coast, same with RDU guys, etc.

We aren't gonna be able to have everyone be happy with ONE meeting place. It's just not gonna happen. I would encourage all the guys/gals not around the center of the state to come up with a monthly meeting of their own. Then we can organize bigger events that all should try to attend when we see a good opening.

I really wanted to get people thinking. It seems that has started to happen. We shouldn't have to wait for SITM as the ONE time NC owners really get together. There are a LOT of us in NC! Let's make it happen.

i am thinking of a SATO... "sharks at the ocean.... a coast get together...

i would be willing to bet that many 928 owners would like to go to the beach for a weekend during the summer or early fall...
We could arrange an offshore fishing trip, a trip to the cape, etc......
I would think a lot of wives and kids would be up for that as well......

Can't make it this weekend but I'm in for next month. I think Greensboro is a central location..2 hours from RDU and 2 hours or less from Char. Just my 2 cent. I am looking forward to meeting everyone..Let's make it happen!
