Seem to be many choices out there. Garage Journal search is a mixed bag.
What works best for you and why?

I use K-D that I've had for decades. It's just a little bit taller than I'd like it under the MaxJax lift.
I may make one, with larger (~3") urethane wheels instead of the little hard creeper wheels that are on the one I have now. New one will have a spot for a plastic dish tray underneath for tools/parts/stuff. I modified a similar tray with hangers made from welding rod to catch stuff when cleaning underneath. The wire supports aren't strong enough for a load of fluid drainage but probably could be; I just have a vision of rolling into it accidentally and getting a bath.

Whiteside DTS Low Profile Detailing Seat (sorry no pics)
Works great. I am almost 6'-4" and it works great for me. I have a garage with an 8' ceiling and I can get the car almost to the max of the lift.
Has several tool/cup holders and can accommodate both a bottle of Stoli and a fine red when the conditions dictate!

I've seen pics, wow, it sure looks low. But I guess you make up for it!

The creeper seat is at home and I'm not, but it's in the neighborhood of 10-12" seat height, guessing. Now that I think about it, the old washed out brand name on it is "Lisle" rather than K-D.
I have some 6 or 8" aluminum channel with 2" sides that will work great for sides on a rolling seat. A panel across the bottom will hold the plastic tray. I'll cut the sides at an angle back to a seat pad, leaving the tray top open in front of me while sitting. 6" channel might be best for me, since it allows the larger wheels and some seat padding, and room inside for the plastic dishpan. I found some TSA-size pans in gray plastic for about $5 at the local restaurant supply store, so the seat will be big enough to hold one. That should pretty much define the footprint anyway.
For grins and fitment, stack a few things on the floor under the car on the lift until you get the height you like. I figure my hat should just clear the belly pans when I'm seated upright, maybe an inch of room so I can tilt my head back a little to look up at stuff without scrunching my neck.

Three Wheelin'
I have drilled new holes about two inches below the standard max-height this allows for our garage door to be opened and closed while the car is on the lift;
A seat with 9-10 inches max height works fine for me with the car in that position

Perfect, thanks for sharing.
Great idea about stacking stuff and sitting to check. Once I get the unit here and installed I'll go that route. I've just been checking to see what's available "for planning purposes" (which my wife calls unneeded over-analysis )
