from the DFW craigslist - Its a classic.

I have a 928 porsche 1983. This is the 4.7 240 hp v8 auto model. It is goldish brown. The interior is complete but needs work, exterior would be a 8 or 9 but the front bumper has paint cracking on top. It runs, drives, windows work, lights work but needs a water pump gasket. The water pump gasket drips a little water at the bottom. It was a daily driver before. Will come with about $700 worth in parts. If posted still available. Only serious inquiries please.

I get a lot of calls so let me try to answer them all now. PLEASE only text or call if you have money or serious. One day I spent one hour responding to people.

I dont think it has ever over heated.
Has 115k
The water is clear.
The oil is not muddy.
It doesn't smoke any colors.
Body has no dents.
Interior is complete but needs resoration.
Title is clear.
Registration is good.
Inspection is not.
Tires okay but will need replacing.
I don't know if it will make it to your house without overheating. BUT I ran it one hour today and drove it about 10 min with no issues but leaked a little.
It does need new brakes, maybe just pads. It didn't stop to quickly.
No i'm not driving to you, you come to me!
It does need a little work. If you want a perfect 928 you need to spend at least $4,500. ..........$2100

Awesome

"I don't think it has ever over heated" then says, "I don't think it will make it to your house without over heating", like he knows where "you" live, in other words, won't go down the street without over heating, but he doesn't think it has ever over heated......

Morons are everywhere.....

I went to look at this car since it was 1.5 miles away from me. Wow. Talk about a rough car. It was his girlfriends daily driver. (funny, never saw it)

He didn't want to take the $500.00 I was going to give him.

That's because he was going to turn it into a Pikes Peak car. That "Racing Starter" get's him one step closer to a race car. lol

This one has a Flat Head! http://atlanta.craigslist.org/wat/cto/2324058280.html I didn't know a 60 year old motor was an option in the 928. I hope it has Offenhauser heads...

"This is a 1980 Porsche 928 it has a flat head V8 (I had a girlfriend once that I thought had a flat head) . It is very fast and has lots of torque (when parts are not flying off of it). I want to get rid of it because it was a project that my brother and I were working on and he past (that would be passed but I won't beat you down)away last year and I haven't done much with sence (since, dude, since). It needs a clutch kit and paint (due to it being very FAST). The body is in good shape no dents (So is my wife but hey, back to this car) . Motor runs great with a new alternator (Runs crappy now without one). Please give me a call if your interested asking $3000 but will trade for bike (Schwinn, just asking?) (404)345-2844 John no calls after 9 pm (Hey, John don't call me after 9 but everyone else, no problem)"

I am selling my 1979 Porsche 928 5-speed. It recently ran and drove but needs a new fuel accumulator to get it running again. The engine runs very strong and rides great. The body is free of dents. All fluids including brake fluid, coolant, oil, and power steering have been changed. The engine runs like new and has a new timing belt. I pulled the clutch to replace a bushing and took the discs to get inspected by a porsche mechanic, he told me they were good, so i put them back in. The steering and suspension is tight and corners very well. It also has a new racing starter. The interior is removed except for the seats, as I planned on turning it into a pikes peak racer. I am selling it for what i have in it. I really wanted to restore this fully, but i need the money for bills. I have the title ready to sign over. Thanks for looking.

Mike

The engine runs like new - except it doesn't run.
