Hi guys, i just replaced my heater valve under the air filter with a new one

becouse i was getting hot air. i put the heat on and drove it,when i shut the

heat off i was still getting heat from door vents and defroster. is any thing else

i can check to fix. also no air from center vents. please help iam waiting. ED.

The heater valve MUST have vacuum to hold it closed. If the diaphrapms in the various heater flap actuators are split then you no longer have enough vacuum to hold the hot water valve closed.

you can wire the heater valve shut. that will work for warm climates. Kind of trailer park fix but it works.

The heater valve uses vacuum to close the valve and stop flow of hot coolant into the heater. No vacuum = hot air out the vents, so check the vacuum line to make sure it's connected to the correct solenoid, etc.
